The Election Commission of India’s flagship programme for educating voters, raising voter awareness, and advancing voter literacy in India is called SVEEP. It is a multi-intervention programme that reaches out to citizens, electors, and voters using a variety of modes and media to inform them about the electoral process in an effort to raise their awareness and encourage informed participation. The socioeconomic, cultural, and demographic characteristics of the state as well as the history of voting participation in prior elections are taken into consideration when designing SVEEP. The Commission creates a variety of voter education materials and disseminates them through several communication platforms, such as print media, electronic media, social media, etc.
