Located in the tarai region of the Himalayas, Rajkiya Sanatakottar Mahavidyalaya Bazpur (GPGC, Bazpur) is a co-educational institution affiliated to Kumaun University Nainital. The college was established in 1996. It is located in the rural area and is about 5 km distant from the sub urban town Bazpur. The college is spread over an area of 11.2acres. In 2012 faculty of science was established in the college. After successfully running undergraduate courses for 17 years, post graduate courses were introduced in the college in 2014 in four subjects of faculty of arts.In 2015 Post Graduate classes of Science subjects were started. In the same year the college was scheduled under 2(f)/12(b) of UGC Act, 1956. The college was given a permanent “Post Graduate College” status by Government of Uttarakhand in 2017.College has started P.G. course in Faculty of Commerce from year 2019.At present it is a multidisciplinary college with twelve departments under three faculties viz.Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Commerce. Faculty of arts comprises of 06 departmentsviz Hindi, English, History, Sociology, Political Science and Sanskrit. Faculty of Science comprises of 05 departmentsviz Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.Institute also enrols Ph.D. scholars in all the Departments.

In addition to these regular programmes self-financed P.G. Diploma in Yoga and Holistic Health is also offered by college since 2017. The college is an approved study centre of Uttarakhand Open University science 2017. The College has a dedicated team of 26 teaching and 18 nonteaching staff. The College serves about 1400 students every year.RMB is very proud of its alumni who are serving in different field of society as bureaucrats,teachers,journalists,businesspersons, artists and entrepreneurs. Collage has active unites of NCC and NSS through which College conducts extension activities in the neighbourhood community to sensitizing students on different social issues including gender discrimination, drug abuse, financial inclusion schemes, and swachchataabhiyan etc. The college serves students from different geographical, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds from different states of the country..College takes sports very seriously. College has a large playground spread over 04 acres to conduct outdoor games. College also have a large multipurpose hall where various cultural activities ,conferences and indoor games are organised. Annual sport of the college is one of the most awaited events amongst the students. College organizes competitions of several sports like cricket, football, race, javelin throw, table tennis badminton etc. many of our students have participated in state level.
