The Election Commission of India’s flagship programme for educating voters, raising voter awareness, and advancing voter literacy in India is called SVEEP. It is a multi-intervention programme that reaches out to citizens, electors, and voters using a variety of modes and media to inform them about the electoral process in an effort to raise their awareness and encourage informed participation. The socioeconomic, cultural, and demographic characteristics of the state as well as the history of voting participation in prior elections are taken into consideration when designing SVEEP. The Commission creates a variety of voter education materials and disseminates them through several communication platforms, such as print media, electronic media, social media, etc.
How To Register to Vote
Election commission of India offers online voter registration for Indian citizens who have attained the age of 18 on the qualifying date (1st of January of the year of revision of electoral roll). Citizen, can enroll himself/herself as General Voter and fill Form 6 online at National Voters’ Service Portal. Registered voters should also check their enrollment status

Visit https://electoralsearch.in/ to see if you are registered to vote. If your name appears in the list, you are eligible to vote, otherwise you need to register to vote. Visit https://voterportal.eci.gov.in/ for voter registration. Also, you can use Voter Helpline App to verify your name in Electoral Roll or register online.
